Whyalla, Schulz Reserve (Particle) - 2013
This data set contains validated particle pollution data for the year 2013 for the Spencer Gulf region in monthly files.
Negative values occur from time to time and are a result of interferents such as moisture and semi volatile compounds in combination with the noise of the instrument.
Sampling method: Tapered Element Oscillating Microbalance (TEOM). Sampling Standard: AS3580.9.8 – 2001. Uncertainty in measurement: U95= ±1.5 µg/m³ for 1hr average.
Field labels: PM10 TEOM µg/m³ – Particulate Matter 10 microns or less, PM2.5 TEOM µg/m³ – Particulate Matter 2.5 microns or less, Temperature °C – Ambient Temperature, Barometric Pressure atm – Ambient Pressure.
For comparison to National Environment Protection (Ambient Air Quality) Measure (NEPM) standards, any average calculated from this data is only valid if it is based on at least 75% of the expected samples in the averaging period. This applies to all averaging periods. Further information on data availability and computing averages can be found in the National Environment Protection (Ambient Air Quality) Measure Technical paper No. 5 – Data Collection and Handling.
