Radiofrequency Radiation
The EPA no longer measures radiofrequency radiation. This data will not be updated.
This is an area that is regulated by the Commonwealth Authority, Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety authority (ARPANSA).
For general information relating to non-ionising radiation safety including lasers, microwaves, powerlines, mobile phones and communication towers see the ARPANSA website:
https://www.arpansa.gov.au/understanding-radiation/what-radiation/what-non-ionising-radiation
Alternatively, you can talk to an ARPANSA scientist from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays (Melbourne AEST), freecall 1800 022 333.

Measurements previously undertaken by the EPA used a Narda NBM-550 Broadband Field Meter fitted with a 3 MHz – 18 GHz EF1891 probe which covers the entire spectrum. Results presented as a percentage of the allowable member of public exposure limit as published in the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) Radiation Protection Standard for Maximum Exposure Levels to Radiofrequency Fields - 3 kHz to 300 GHz (2002). Latitude and Longitude are not available for all measurements.
