Change in data request

Hi, I have been looking at the *_DATA_SA_Crash.csv files. In line with the Data Dictionary this file contains: Year Year of Crash Month Month crash occurred Day The day of the week the crash occurred I cannot find a day of the month (as per a normal date) The data, for example, will tell me a crash was on Thursday May 2013, but I'd like to know it was on 16 May 2013. Can an additional "day" field with day of month be included please? For me csv is heaps better than shp, thanks for providing both options. With thanks Login to reply to this comment

looking at doing some data visualisation

Hi, Looking at doing some data visualisation... want to get some practice in before this years gov hack... looking at doing something similar to : <http://www.peclet.com.au/2014/12/exploring-10-years-of-road-crash-data-in- tasmania/> Looking at the SA data: <https://data.sa.gov.au/data/dataset/801cae3b-ea4c-457d-aaae-69c255eeedb8> There is no date time… there is a year, month and day name and time… but no date. I can produce a monthly summary, but I cant use this to see if there is anything more interesting like a increase in accidents in the lead up to Clipsal, or public holidays. Is it possible to get an updated data set with a date time? Regards Michael Lewis Login to reply to this comment

Road Crash Dates

I have had correspondence from the data manager for Road Crash and he has stated that the crash date is deemed too sensitive in nature and therefore excluded for use by the public. Eddy Verhoef Login to reply to this comment

Too Sensitive?

I fail to see how this is too sensitive. All I am asking for is for a valid date time to be added to the data set... which would bring this into line with the Tas data set. Login to reply to this comment

Dataset Disappeared

I noticed that this dataset disappeared for a while and has since returned. What happened? Has any data been added/removed from the set? Login to reply to this comment

Road Crash Locations

Nobin, For the coordinates of road crashes, we reccomend you use our Road Crashes in SA dataset as that data can be viewed spatially in Location SA. This dataset can be found here: <http://data.sa.gov.au/data/dataset/road-crashes-in- sa/resource/a6d043d5-cb05-4a99-ba03-cf6a33b36b7b> Regards, Zara Carman Login to reply to this comment
