Accessing Data

What do I do if I cannot find the data that I need?

Data SA is an open data platform, designed to host datasets provided by organisations that are responsible for uploading and maintaining their data. If you cannot find the data you are searching for, you may wish to contact the relevant organisation directly.

Why do I have this error ‘404 Not Found – Resource not found’ ?

If you have manually entered in the link please make sure it is entered correctly.

Where can I find cadastral data?

Since October 2017, Land Services SA is the exclusive provider of certain lands titling and valuation services on behalf of the State of South Australia. For access to information relating to lands titling and registration, valuation, spatial ad cadastral data you should contact Land Services SA.
Under the agreement with Land Services SA, ‘Government Entities’; which includes South Australian and other State Government Agencies, Commonwealth Agencies, Local Government authorities, and Universities for academic purposes, can still access Land Services SA information. For more information and access to land-based data, Land Services SA can be contacted through:  AGD.DataRequestsORG@sa.gov.au

Publishing Data

Where is the option to upload my organisations dataset?

To be able to upload your dataset please fill out a DataSA Publisher Access Form and submit it to: datasa@sa.gov.au

How do I delegate a new staff member to have publisher access?

Rather than using a previous account which had publisher access, please re-submit a DataSA Publisher Access Form and send it to datasa@sa.gov.au.
Additionally, if a staff member has left your organisation or no longer needs access to DataSA, please contact us at datasa@sa.gov.au

How do I add another publishing user account to an existing organisation?

To add another publishers account to your Data.SA access you will need to submit a DataSA Publisher Access Form.

  • If you are linking an existing user to your organisation, list their username AND their first and last name in the Publisher Access Form.
  • If you need to create a new user, you can just fill in their first and last name and we will create a user account for you.

Once filled out, please send it to datasa@sa.gov.au
Make sure you use your department/organisation’s email account to send us your publishers access form.

Why do I have this error ‘403 Forbidden – Unauthorised to create a package’ ?

First, check that you are logged into your account.
Second, check that your account has authorised publisher access. If it does not, please fill in the DataSA Publisher Access Form and send it to: datasa@sa.gov.au
